Privacy Policy

1. Browser-based conversion

The main PDF, Office, photo and OCR tools are designed to process source files inside your browser. Source PDFs and photos are not uploaded merely because you selected or converted them. Device capability, browser memory and installed fonts can affect the result.

2. Optional accounts and saved output

When you create an account, iPDFYou stores account details such as email address, display name, verification status and secure password hash. If you explicitly select “Save to account,” the converted output—not the original source by default—is uploaded to private account storage. Saved outputs remain available until you delete them or the account/storage is otherwise lawfully removed.

3. V AI document workflows and vPDFYou

For the established document workflows, original PDFs and images remain in the browser while their readable text is extracted. The extracted text is sent to the configured AI service only after you review the price and confirm the task.

For vPDFYou, the request text and reference-file names, sizes and types are sent to the configured AI service when you ask for a free safety and scope quote. The reference-file bytes are not sent at that stage. If you approve the displayed successful charge, the selected reference files are sent as temporary AI inputs so V can create the requested result. When you request original AI images, the image description is sent to the configured AI image service. When you request reusable real photographs, V searches Wikimedia Commons and retains source, creator and licence attribution supplied by Commons. vPDFYou accepts only listed supported types and limits file count and size.

Completed vPDFYou project content and project chat are encrypted by the iPDFYou server and retained for 30 days after the latest project activity by default. Validated generated or licensed image bytes are stored in private server storage outside the public website and require the signed-in owner plus a protected request to load. They use the same project expiry. The hosting owner may configure a shorter period. You can delete a project, its chat and associated images at any time; credit-ledger records remain so wallet history stays accurate. Temporary job-retry results expire separately.

4. Payments and wallet records

Razorpay hosts the payment checkout. iPDFYou receives transaction identifiers, payment state, amount, currency, package and captured-payment confirmation. It does not receive or store card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs, bank passwords or one-time passwords. Wallet balances, credit purchases, deductions and automatic credit returns are stored so the account balance can be verified.

5. Private reviews and support

A review submitted through the website includes the provided name, email, rating and message. It is emailed privately to the site owner and is not published as a public review by this feature. Support emails are handled through the email provider used by iPDFYou.

6. Privacy-conscious analytics

iPDFYou records limited operational events such as page views, selected tool, conversion start, success or failure category and processing duration. Analytics events do not contain uploaded file names, document text, AI prompts, converted output, payment credentials or raw IP addresses. The administrator dashboard shows aggregate figures rather than individual user activity. Operational analytics older than 180 days are removed by scheduled maintenance.

7. Security and service providers

Security measures include HTTPS, secure session cookies, request validation, ownership checks, rate limits, private configuration and image storage outside the public website directory, file-integrity checks, payment verification and AES-256-GCM encryption for temporary V results, projects and chat. Hosting, email, Razorpay, Google sign-in, Wikimedia Commons and the configured AI provider may process limited information needed to provide their respective services under their own policies.

8. Your choices

• Use ordinary converters without creating an account.
• Choose whether to save converted output to an account.
• Delete saved files from “My files.”
• Do not calculate a vPDFYou quote if you do not want the request text sent for AI safety and scope planning.
• Do not confirm a V workflow if you do not want its described AI inputs processed.
• Delete vPDFYou project content and chat from the project workspace.
